The amount of Fitrana is based on staple food items:

- Barley: 3.5 kg

You may also pay the cash equivalent according to local market prices.
Who Must Pay Fitrana?
- Every Muslim who possesses food or wealth beyond daily needs
- Paid for oneself and dependents (children, spouse, or others under care)
When to Pay Fitrana
- Best time: Before Eid prayer
- Allowed: During the month of Ramadan
- Not valid: After Eid prayer
