5100 vs 5000 – Ryan Swanstrom

The Braun Series 5 shavers are a great choice especially for the budget-friendly price. The newer 5100 Models have a Turbo Mode. Is the Turbo Mode worth it? I compare the old and the new Braun Series 5 shavers to see if the new Turbo Mode is better.

The newer Braun Series 5, 5150, has two separate shave modes:

I do think the Model 5150 with Turbo mode did give a slightly better shave than the older Series 5. However, I don’t think the Turbo Mode provides a better enough shave to warrant immediately upgrading from the previous Series 5.
